New year, new paint job

Over the summer, NC’s walls transformed with a glistening new coat of paint added to every square inch of the school. A new cream color replaced the bland white, a color scheme that the teachers and students know all too well.  In addition to the removal of the mundane white walls, new additions of orange and blue sporadically make appearances around NC, providing an extra oomph of school spirit.

“I feel the paint in the school shows school spirit and helps people embrace our school. It also helps people find where they are going,” junior Shelby Ruhl said.

The dull white walls of the hall of windows disappeared over the summer, and in its wake, a new cream color adorns the walls.

Past principal pictures used to lay on top of bare white walls, but now the history of NC can take its place upon school spirited walls.

No longer an unadorned hallway, the 300 and 600 hallways both possess brand new orange embellishment upon their walls.

The stairwell leading up into the 3000 hall bares new arrows to help direct students to their classes, as well as a bright orange wall to pay tribute to NC’s school colors.

There’s nothing more fitting than the word “ART” painted outside the art room.

With NC’s halls difficult to navigate, the 3000 hallway displays large numbers to allow students to know exactly where they stand in the school.

Bright orange and navy blue rails spruced up the courtyard walkway, honoring NC’s school colors.

In addition to every wall getting a fresh coat of paint, the doors received a layer of gray paint.

A new orange stripe adorns the walls of the old gym, making the unbearable heat and humidity a little less noticeable due to the distraction of NC’s main color.
