        • Recognized for their inability to choose just one genre, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard’s newest album includes songs with influences from progressive rock, psychedelia, and middle eastern tonalities. “Compared to other albums that King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard has created, like Paper Mache Dream Balloon, where many of the songs sounded very similar to one another, each song in L.W. felt like they had their own unique sound, whether it was the instruments used or the genre of music,” junior Ellie Boyle said.

His life’s work was an undaunted fight for civil and human rights — without prejudice or exception. The National Center for Civil and Human Rights is honored to join this partnership to celebrate John L. Lewis’s legacy and to serve as a tangible reminder of the beauty that can grow from a commitment to stay in good trouble," head of programs and exhibitions for the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Dr. Kalinda Lee said.

        • The NC Warrior varsity basketball team compiled a 10-13 record in the 2020-2021 season. Led by seniors Tyler Gorsuch, Jaiden Neville, Jared Dejesus, and Josiah Gooch, the Warriors expect to lose eight players due to graduation by the time next season rolls around. With a tough new region and unprecedented times, the Warriors look to combat these challenges with new underclassmen and veteran leadership.

          NC Basketball suffers defeat in first round of state playoffs

        • The NC varsity lacrosse team begins training for the tough season ahead by working hard and practicing six days a week. Through their first couple of games, players can gage the competition for the rest of the season and where to improve. “I think the team could work on our unity, especially at practices. We are still working together and getting better at playing as a team,” said senior captain Trenton Nolen.

          Warrior lacrosse defeat Wheeler Wildcats in high scoring fashion

        • One of five rovers sent to Mars so far, Perseverance’s safe landing sparked excitement for those with their eyes on the sky. Along with anticipations surrounding new data and images, fans of NASA deciphered a colored pattern on the rover’s parachute, hinted at by NASA officials. Participants deciphered the pattern, a piece of binary computer code, to find NASA’s message and the Perseverance team motto: Dare Mighty Things.

        • Students now mimic the style trends of the 1990’s, as popular fashions come back. However, differences also become evident as students become more confident in expressing themselves. Trends will continue to change and repeat, so students should dress how they want regardless of today’s trends.

        • 	NC senior, Ben Moran, committed to play football for KSU. While at NC, Moran made friendships on the team that will last a lifetime. “They’re like my brothers, I love each and every one of them,” Moran said. And while he prepares to move on, his memories of high-school football will stay with him forever.

Jasmine participates in the NC International Studies Magnet program and balances her schoolwork and training very well, as she qualified for state this past season.
