Japanese cuisines act as a staple in numerous people’s lives. Those who enjoy delicious flavors that can combine crunchy, chewy and sometimes juicy all in one would want the variety of food this culture offers. This list comprises the top five Japanese restaurants to attend for any Japanese food cravings or for a fantastic meal.

Sushiology

Sushiology works to provide a healthy environment to its customers as their health score stands at 100. With over 500 reviews and a 4.5-star Yelp rating, Sushiology ranks as the best ramen, Asian fusion and sushi bar restaurant in Kennesaw, Georgia. The restaurant’s most exceptional services to its customers include delivery, reservations, takeout and free Wi-Fi. Their specialties include an all-you-can-eat, made-to-order menu that serves tiny portions so customers can order additional items like appetizers, rolls, nigiri and salads. The all-you-can-eat menu requires a reservation before entering, and the price per person for the all-you-can-eat menu typically costs $35. Other than that, Sushiology accepts walk-ins. They also own an Instagram account, where they display their beautiful menu items for returning and potential customers.

“I like going to Sushiology because of how local it is and how their prices aren’t overexerted. The place itself is small and the wait time can be a little annoying, but the servers and the food make up for it. I love their super crunch roll! The best sushi roll there is also not a raw dish so anyone can enjoy it! I think it deserves to be number one because it’s one of the best authentic sushi places I’ve been to so far [in Kennesaw],” senior Laniya Lucas-Davis said.

The Bowl

For those whose preferred taste does not involve sushi, this Japanese-Asian fusion restaurant includes the perfect selections. From their 4.5 star rating, The Bowl serves authentic food with prices right for any local customer. Nothing too fancy on the restaurant’s interior, but reviews of the restaurant report the food as outstanding, with takeout and delivery offered at the restaurant too.

“My mother and I sometimes go to The Bowl on [Sundays.] We sit there and talk about the week while the store owners prepare our food. It’s a very homey atmosphere that you can’t get anywhere else. I love getting their galbi dish with rice or stir fry ramen. I believe they are the best because of their imported drinks from Japan and the culture they bring, and they don’t get swamped. It’s a nice place to go when you want quiet time,” Lucas-Davis said.

Revolving Sushi Factory

The Revolving Sushi Factory welcomes all guests no matter their age. Everyone can gain a fun experience by visiting this restaurant. The Revolving Sushi Factory prides itself on its traditional Japanese recipes and 100-plus menu items. They also contain a revolving sushi belt, costing $2.50 per plate, with the most expensive items costing less than $6.50. This establishment also provides customers with a fast and easy lunch or dinner by making the ordering process straightforward.

“It’s absolutely hectic, but it’s fun! It’s just a fun place to go with friends and family! The technology they use there to serve food is something you would only see in japan! My family and I had an exchange student in 2020, and she absolutely loved it there. She mentioned that some of the food reminded her of Japanese sushi, but most of it was Americanized! But she loved it anyway,” Lucas-Davis said.

Kuroshio Sushi Bar and Grille

This sushi bar and grille combo offers various options as displayed in their name. Moreover, like the Revolving Sushi Factory, Kuroshio opens every day. They also provide daily lunch, dinner, catering and takeout. The restaurant belongs to three locations throughout the metro Atlanta area. Kuroshio vowed to treat customers with hospitality and accommodate all their needs since its opening in 2007. They claim to serve fresh sushi of the highest quality. Kuroshio offers an extensive specialty roll menu, free Wi-Fi, and access to all sports channels.

Sushi yu

For this last pick, with a 99 health score and open seven days a week, Sushi Yu offers customers to dine in, take out and place UberEats orders. They also display a hibachi grill and an all-you-can-eat Japanese buffet. Customer reviews reveal Sushi Yu provides customers with pleasant staff, nice decor and an excellent-sized menu. Their popular dishes include California rolls, shrimp tempura rolls, chicken fried rice, sunset rolls and spicy tuna rolls, which all cost below $10.
