Donald Trump has recruited several notable celebrities, including Kevin Jonas, Terrell Owens, Gilbert Gottfried, Shawn Johnson, Kate Gosselin, and Leeza Gibbons, to compete in its seventh season of Celebrity Apprentice.

In the first episode, Trump broke the contestants off into teams: men against women. Right after the teams were assembled, Trump told the groups the objective and let the groups assign project managers. Former actress of The Cosby Show Keshia Pulliam, stepped up to the plate and took the position for the girls, while egotistical journalist Geraldo Rivera took the project manager position for the men’s team. The mission? To make two different kind of pies (one sweet, one meat) and sell as many as possible in one day. They were allowed to call as many potential customers as they wanted to because the goal for each group member was to raise as much money possible.

Trump then met with both groups and discussed results. As expected, both the men and women thought they won and performed the best, but Geraldo Rivera ended up with the victory, putting Pulliam on the chopping block. Since the women lost, Keshia Pulliam chose two other women to accompany her on the way to potential elimination;Trump makes the final decision regarding who gets fired. Keshia brought back Kate Gosselin, out of pity probably for her lack of money, and Jamie Anderson. In the end, Trump fired the project manager, Keshia.

The Celebrity Apprentice attempts to catch attention with the faces we see on the Internet and television, and its model works effectively. But the main reason people continue watching remain the intriguing arguments between the celebrities that cause chaos. The true side of each of each individual is exposed every episode and makes people wonder what tensions exists off camera.

Overall, while the show represents nothing groundbreaking, Celebrity Apprentice remains quality entertainment, as the challenges prove interesting and the celebrities add drama. The best part of each episode is waiting for the one person you despise to receive the wrath of Trump: “You’re Fired!”
