NC ended the game with senior Mckenzie Krause scoring a triple just before the time ran out.

Senior Taylor Krause scored the first run for the Lady Warriors in the second inning with a hit flying over the fence. The home run turned the team’s mood around, helping them find the spark needed to score two more runs by the end of the second inning and keeping the Mustangs scoreless.

During the fifth inning, Kennesaw Mountain’s pitcher left due to an injury, prompting the staff to replace her with a new pitcher requiring the Lady Warriors to adjust. This did not dampen their streak, as the fifth inning ended with NC tallying a total of six runs.

Defeating their rivals made the team happy, as Assistant Coach Kathy Ezzell said, “It’s always fun to beat Kennesaw Mountain.”

The high energy atmosphere of the game kept the players’ spirits high and the crowd pumped.

The Lady Warriors will face the Marietta Lady Blue Devils in their next home contest on August 27.
