This discussion comes up in many episodes and stands out as the main issue in the mid-season finale, going back in time to when Mindy and Danny first met. Their mutual dislike of one another eventually turns to friendship and helps to convince Mindy what step to take next in their relationship.
Although the finale left some fans confused, the writer’s ability to add humor to serious situations helps The Mindy Project stand out from other network comedies.
