Senior guard Myles Lake exploded for a game-high 26 points and nine rebounds to lead varsity basketball to a 68-51 victory over the Osborne Cardinals on Friday, January 15.

Tempers flared early as a Cardinal guard received a technical foul in the first quarter, sending senior guard Ricky Shearman to the free throw line and giving NC a lead which it would hold for the entire game.

“It was a very physical and competitive game,” senior forward Bryce Folson said. “We played well on both sides and it turned out to be a good region win for us.”

Senior forward Kenny Ume and senior guard DJ Render tallied 19 and 12 points, respectively, to add to the Warrior offensive effort.

NC, who currently sits at second place in the region standings, looks to keep its region win-streak alive this week at North Paulding on Tuesday night and at Hillgrove on Friday night.
