NC’s newly built performing arts facility serves as a home to the Fine Arts department’s showcases, and serves as an integral resource for the Drama department’s shows, rehearsals, and club exercises. NC’s new performing arts center plans to make its debut with the first shows of the fall season, including Orchestra’s fall concert and Drama’s Junie B. Jones performance.

As Principal Moody takes on his new role, he holds the Warrior Nation to high standards. “I’d like to see more student inquiry, that’s my big catch phrase, just having students inquire the ‘why’ about the lesson, not just copying down notes. Another phrase I like to refer to is was the lesson about you guys as a student discovery or was it just a delivery of information? I think our teachers have really embraced ways to activate those higher levels of learning, Im excited about what I’ve seen so far,” Moody said.

Ashley DeVan, 20 year-old artist, turned her hobby into a passion when she began selling her art on Marietta Square in the summer of 2017. Her most personal favorite artwork, illustrates a person, drawn by lines, holding up a peace-sign with orange and blue designs in the background. This piece, most frequently used for advertisement for her sales, symbolizes DeVan as just another artist.

Becca’s Closet worked with the students of NC’s community and the people around them too help provide dresses and clothes for those in need. Depicted are NC students modeling dresses for upcoming prom events. With the backing support from stores such as Macy’s these students were able to give away dresses for the profit of happy smiles
