Leadership council gathers to discuss the trials and tribulations that come along with being a Magnet student, as well as talk to parents about their concerns for high school. Students talked about their own passions and how NC will fit their passions. “I like talking to the middle schoolers because they come for social studies and I can tell theyre interested,” junior Chesley Lucas said.

NC students gathered around the square in front of the DJ and the band, singing and dancing in celebration. TC members worked for months in advance to make the Block Party special and enjoyed making the community a more exciting place. “The people involved definitely seemed excited, which affects people and their surroundings. I was personally hyped up because of the marching band since they have fun and it makes you want to have fun with them,” sophomore Susana Negrete said.

Magnet sophomore practice presentations, one of the key components of AP Seminar. The bundle prepares the students for their junior year and obtain more AP credits to benefit their GPAs. “[This is] a true collaborative bundle,” Mrs. Theaker said. “It is hopefully going to provide a really wonderful sort of basis for writing and research going forward for these Magnet students.”
