The Chant

Michayla Cherichel
Michayla Cherichel is a sophomore in the Magnet program and plans to be a reporter on The Chant. "I think I want to be a journalist when I go to college and beyond. I like politics and I want to write about that. Rachel Maddow is a woman and is involved and knowledgeable about politics, and that is so inspiring," Cherichel said.

Cherichel is a reality TV junkie, and she loves to read. She loves To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han because she loves realistic, relatable characters that grip your heart. The main character is believable, and Cherichel connects to her: "It's like reading a story about a friend or similar to myself and not something crazy and outrageous,"  Cherichel said.

Cherichel is a YouTube fangirl, and she watches countless videos about real issues. She is a cross country runner, and she plans to do cross country and track for the next two year.
