Other activities, such as hiking and picnicking, allow students to enjoy the warmer weather. “The weather being warmer is really making everyone happier and making us want to do more of the things we love,” Chighizola said.

To start off the school year and integrate new members of the newspaper team with old members, each page editor came up with a bonding activity to get everyone in the class involved. Senior and Blogs Editor Harrison Glaze introduced his activity, where students listened to the song “Wonderwall” and rewrote the lyrics in a nonsensical way. “Newspaper has never been the most musical group of people, so we had to take it to the next level and make our own lyrics,” new journalism teacher Mrs. Zavala said. The students created a hilarious song about a student who tripped into a pool on the way to school, a leprechaun rescue mission, and the importance of cow preservation.
