Throughout history, art has evolved and new styles have emerged to form famous masterpieces known by countless people—the “Mona Lisa,” “Starry Night” and “The Guernica.” Artists who adored the hobby influenced how humanity perceives art and the artwork displayed in countless homes around the globe. With art as an outlet for numerous people, it serves as a way for artists to capture their reality and display their thoughts and feelings on a platform.

Seniors Bethel Mamo and Parker Shane pose as Le Brun’s, Self Portrait while sophomore MC Toth explains the significance of the work during Ms. Galloways fourth period AP Art History class. The class was required to perform a tableaux vivant, a reenactment of a piece of art, and correctly address the elements within the work and the historical context surrounding it. Students enjoyed dressing up and put on a visually entertaining performance.
