NC varsity lacrosse team will play their first game of the spring season against Pebblebrook at 6:30 p.m. tonight, February 12. For the game tonight, senior Zach Hall hopes to score four goals. “I am really excited to hopefully win our first official game after defeating the Wheeler Wildcats at our scrimmage,” sophomore Jonah McKouen said.

The Warrior’s basketball team will take on the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs, a long-time rival, tonight January 15. Along with the competitiveness of tonight’s game, Relay For Life set the theme as “Pink Out” and will collect donations to fight against cancer. “I am excited to see how the game turns out since Kennesaw Mountain is such a huge rival to NC. I cannot wait to see everyone decked out in pink,” sophomore Drew Dodd said.

Last Friday, the Warriors traveled to Etowah High School to take on the Eagles. Both teams, 1-0 for the season, fought to gain their second victory of the season. “You already know we’re going to do our best on the field, I have no doubt we’ll win,” senior linebacker Trey Cabble (#10) said.

Mrs. Samson’s first period environmental science class participated in a lab regarding water pollution. Each student received a micro invertebrate and took on different obstacles. When a student acting as pollution tagged another, they became new organism with a new task. The lab helped students recognize how pollution affects the organisms in our ecosystem.
