Seniors receive the chance to purchase their cap, gown, and class ring at the Herff Jones table in the cafeteria. Yet another step in graduating, the table causes excitement as seniors choose their items for the culminating event of their high school career.

	Senior Rachel Maxwell looks in horror upon one of the typical AP style questions in AP Physics 1, dealing with rotational motion. The problem requires students to look at the situation conceptually, and only deal with variables and not numbers. This skill takes practice and shows up on the AP exam quite often.

The class of 2019 attended a senior meeting during an extended homeroom to talk about important announcements about graduation, important dates, and graduation tickets. Each senior will receive five tickets for their family to attend the graduation ceremony on May 23, 2019. ”Senior year has been nothing but good to me. I am excited to graduate and ready to start college, I cannot wait for the rest of my senior year and everything that is in store for me,” senior Kevin Nguyen said. Current Kennesaw State University students also presented their college advice to the seniors after the graduation presentation.

The senior class met for the second time this year on Thursday, September 6. Seniors congregated in the PCA to learn about graduation details, life after high school and what their spring semester preparations will look like leading up to receiving their degrees and graduating in May of 2019. A representative from Herff Jones informed the students about caps and gowns, and they will have a table in the lunchroom on Thursday and Friday of next week for seniors to place their orders.

The yearbook students place stamps on envelopes as they get ready to ship out letters about yearbook senior tributes. The senior tribute constitutes a section in the yearbook dedicated to the students by their parents. “I’m super excited to see all the tributes we will receive,” sophomore Taylor Seymour said.

Herff Jones finally released graduation announcements for seniors who purchased the package in the fall. The personalized announcements come with a sketch of NC on it, as well as tabs to put cap and gown pictures in. Students can pick up their orders in the cafeteria during lunch.

Herff Jones rallied up NC seniors in the new gym to discuss the importance and procedures of cap and gown ordering. The packages start at $68 for the basic cap and gown, but range all the way up to $300 for additional senior year accessories. The representative advised students to place their orders by September 14 instead of waiting until Friday to prevent the company from taking extended time to process orders.
