Interact Club, run by Coach William Hargis, collects Christmas toys to donate to those who cannot afford gifts this year. When students donate toys to room 210, Hargis gives them a gift-card for a free Chick-fil-A sandwich.

Will Hargis teaches AP and on-level Psychology along with Melanie Shelnutt, who will retire later this year. In addition to advising multiple clubs, Hargis will take over the full AP psychology program beginning next school year. “I enjoy being a role model for the kids, and I have never regretted taking on so much in the school. I know that I am ready to take over the AP psych program,”Hargis said.

The Interact Club hosts a toy drive for the holiday season in Mr. Hargis’ room, room 210. They will accept toys of any kind as long as they are new and boxed. The drive ends December 15.

Interact Club encourages NC students to donate hygiene items to the homeless, collecting donations through September 22nd in room 210. The club partnered up with MUST Ministries to provide necessary products to those in need. Several club member begin to bring in donations, filling several bags.
