Overlooking the Sydney Harbor from the famed Sydney Harbor bridge, the group enjoyed the ships passing by and the view of the Opera House and downtown area. After a half-day hike around the city and across the bridge, the group huddled to view the city from the center of the 3,700 footbridge. “It was interesting to see the Opera house and bridge and all the parks but Australia felt like a normal big city. It wasnt very different than one youd see in the United States,” Magnet senior Steven Tran said.

Tonight at 6:30, NC will hold its annual Magnet Open House for incoming freshmen. The program will commence the main presentation in the theater from 6:30-7:15, the world language programs in the theater foyer at 6:00-7:30, and clubs and athletics in the main cafeteria at 7:20-8:30.

Magnet sophomore practice presentations, one of the key components of AP Seminar. The bundle prepares the students for their junior year and obtain more AP credits to benefit their GPAs. “[This is] a true collaborative bundle,” Mrs. Theaker said. “It is hopefully going to provide a really wonderful sort of basis for writing and research going forward for these Magnet students.”
