“I’ll always love Tobey Maguire because he was the first Spider-Man I ever watched, but I can’t deny the new movies are good. Tom Holland’s movies fit so well into the Marvel Universe and I love seeing all of my favorite characters in there. His and Zendaya’s love story is adorable, the newest movie killed me,” junior Ava Green said. The Spider-Man franchise created multiple reboots of the original, changing the plot each time and introducing new villains. Spider-Man defeats the criminals each time, protecting civilians and proving that good always overcomes evil.

Premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, Troop Zero, recently released on the streaming service Amazon Prime to mixed reviews. The film stars McKenna Grace, Viola Davis, Allison Janney, and Jim Gaffigan and was directed by Bert & Bertie. The nostalgic movie shows both good and bad aspects but sadly it’s imperfections shine through, in the end, making the movie disappointing for the audience.

Senior Feron Ali fulfills one of his lifelong dreams to create a film and express his ideas and stories on a screen for everyone to watch. The base of the film talks about two homicide detectives who go out on the search for a killer on the loose and they question different witnesses to come closer to identifying the killer. Feron Ali directed and edited the film which features students from NC. He made the film with the intent of entering it into the Cobb County Film Festival, however, they did not make it, but he still feels glad that he accomplished a dream of his and to share it with NC students.
