Senior Jason Alves studies the exercises available on his ACT online prep account that he recently purchased from the front office. He studies for the upcoming test during his free time on a computer in the media center. “I figure if I study some everyday, then I will be completely prepared by test day. My goal is to score at least a 26!”

On the second day of Black History Month, sophomores Sam Smith and Bethel Mamo look over the posters commemorating the month at the front office. “Because black people make up a huge portion of both our history and our population, it’s important to know sections of our history that deal with them, and not just them specifically, but the relations with all aspects and facets of our society,” Smith said.

Sophomores Richard Walden and Carlton Chester opt for a quieter setting to enjoy their lunch, the library. “I like eating in the library because quiet and I can actually hear my friends and hold a conversation,” Chester said. “For example, we were just having an interesting conversation about Pokémon.”
