Today marks Election Day for North Cobb’s student body. This morning, freshman, sophomore, and junior homerooms voted among an esteemed group of candidates all vying for class officer. Over the past week, social media has been buzzing with election pitches and the halls around NC have been adorned with vibrant posters with campaign slogans and photos of the eligible nominees. The school will announce the winners tomorrow during Tomahawk Today. The Chant wishes each candidate the best of luck!

Campaigns for class officer started this week, and students wasted no time putting up their posters around the school. With only a week to advertise, each sign showcases the creativity and dedication of the candidates. The potential class officers also utilized social media to spread their message, creating edits to post on Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter.

With Christmas right around the corner, NC gets into the Christmas spirit with tacky sweater day. “Tacky sweater day is a great way to bring some holiday cheer to North Cobb”, junior class president Chike Asuzu said. The students and staff who participated earned free cookies as a special treat to reward them for their holiday cheer!

Tribal Connections (TC) carries boxes to each class for canned food collection. Each first period will collect cans for the Taste of Kennesaw drive. We are competing with all 1st period classes to see who can bring in the most items, and this year we are going to beat Kennesaw Mountain, Nishmin Porbandarwala, TC advisor, said.
