As students prepared for their GHP auditions, they created their profiles for the judges. The form consists of essay responses, questions about volunteer hours, past experiences, and future college choices. Students geared up for their auditions, and state finalists prepare for their auditions next semester.

Fine arts students prepare themselves for the big day ahead by practicing their lines to impress judges from the Governor's Honors Program. Unlike other specialities, fine arts holds a separate but equally fierce competition. The fine art’s countywide GHP happens later today at Pebblebrook High School with three different panels of judges watching as the competitors do a cold reading, sight reading, interview, and improv.

This week, drama club members will sell advanced tickets to their play, Hands on a Hard Body. The play details how ten Texans, competing to win a truck by keeping their hands on it for as long as possible, share their lives with competitors through song and dance. The musical runs from October 24 to 26, at seven o'clock each day. Advanced tickets are priced at eight dollars, and will increase to ten dollars at the door.

NC Drama Club proudly displays their first place trophy from One Act Competition in 1987. On Saturday, the 2015 drama team will compete again in One Act, hoping to win the first place trophy.
