Honors geometry students across the school united this week to construct bridges using strictly uncooked spaghetti noodles and elmers glue. This project created challenges for many students forcing them to use their problem solving skills while incorporating what they have learned within the geometry classroom. NC sophomore Tyler Rogers overcame the challenge and constructed a bridge that held 72.8 pounds before collapsing. “I enjoyed this project. It was definitely a challenge, but in the end it was worth it when my bridge held the most weight and beat the school record,” Rogers said.

NC proved their skills on the mat in their first two wins. Varsity wrestler Anthony Miranda believes that in order to win a match, a wrestler must believe in themselves no matter who they face. He, along with his teammates stayed quick on their feet and continue to work hard, their eyes set on the state tournament. “You know its like a warrior against a warrior,” Miranda said.
