NC has included a new strategy to stunt the amount of late tardies schoolwide. With the new Late Student Arrival System (LAS), students rush to class to avoid receiving a tardy. To use the LAS system, students simply enter their Student ID, hit enter and a tardy pass prints out of the machine. “The tardiness will increase, then decrease by a lot. Anytime you make a change students need time to get back in their routine, but so far I see a lot of students trying to get to class on time,” 9th Grade Academy Administrator: Mr. David Bell said.
