With the new school year comes a new playlist. This selection of songs aims to capture the listener and perfectly highlight the space between the back-to-school season and the official beginning of fall. Artists such as  Sammy Rash, Healy and Alt-J exemplify perfect choices to blast on aux with the car windows down, and allow listeners to enjoy the heat of summer. These choices may remind students that summer continues, even though they need to break out the books. For example, artists like Good Morning, Crumb and Still Woozy notify listeners of the upcoming experiences to look forward to: hot cups of tea, fall decorations, Halloween and gorgeous scenery.  

“I honestly really enjoyed the playlist. It made me think of sitting outside in fall with a breeze. I might even listen to the playlist while I study to help me focus. The playlist overall has a very calm feeling to it, I like it. It seems like the perfect mix of songs to get me in the right mindset for learning, even though I normally don’t listen to music when I study, ” sophomore Airabella Brown said.

These ten songs create the perfect blend to listen to as students travel home from school and begin to think about how they could spend their fall break. The stark contrast of these songs highlight the differences of the feelings they bring, and allow the listener to fully appreciate them. This playlist contains songs with release dates from over ten years ago to stir up nostalgia for the time. Alongside these classics stand popular and familiar tunes such as “Left Hand” Free by Alt-J. Overall, this diverse selection allows for a fantastic listening experience, hopefully introducing the listener to music to fall in love with.
