Warrior varsity basketball team blew a double-digit fourth quarter lead to see their winning streak end as Marietta defeated them on Senior Night, 60-57.

Although the game meant nothing in the standings, the loss certainly deflated spirits. Senior Isaiah Clemons fouled out with five minutes remaining, and his defensive presence was clearly missed as Marietta’s Eric Hines converted on three 3-point shots in the final two minutes to complete the comeback.

Junior point guard Ricky Shearman lead the Warriors in scoring with 13 points, shooting four of five from the three point line. Kenny Ume added eight points to compliment Shearman who has not lost sight of this year’s goal:

“If we win on Wednesday, we’re in.” Shearman said. “That’s what we’re focused on, we’re not going to dwell on that last loss.”

The 3rd seeded Warriors will play the winner of Osborne versus Harrison on Wednesday night at Kennesaw Mountain.
