Acworth joins for Easter eggstravaganza

The Acworth community gathered at the Kennworth Baseball Fields on March 18 for a night full of hunting Easter eggs and devouring delicious food.

While Easter falls on the weekend of March 27, people jumped at the chance to celebrate the holiday early. Kids of all ages eagerly awaited the gates to open which will allow the fun to begin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

IMAGE2 (3)The hunt for eggs began as kids from 0-2 years old entered the baseball field with their parents. The DJ, who performed at the event, counted down and the race to find the eggs commenced. Additional age groups competed throughout the evening.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

IMAGE3 (2)Kona Ice provided a cool refreshment as the activities of the day heated up. H&R Block, along with multiple other sponsors and info centers, sat along the sidewalks for the passing people to spot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

IMAGE4 (2)Bounce houses prevailed in a fenced off area for kids who wanted more than the hunt. Relief set in as parents sat while their kids enjoyed themselves.

Right next to the bounce houses, a compact petting zoo overflowed with children. Farm animals such as sheep, chicken, and bunnies entertained the crowd.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

IMAGE6 (2)As the night wound down, kids aged 5-7 began their Easter egg hunting. Infants laid fast asleep while parents anticipated the end of the event.
