After a chaotic two years, the senior class of 2022 finally reunited in person for their final year of high school. The students will all look back on their high school years fondly and reminisce on the great memories that NC provided. “One of my favorite memories from school is having classroom debates and discussions with some of my favorite teachers. I loved hearing everyones opinions and being able to make connections with other students,” senior Maddy Nomura said.

With summer approaching and under three months until graduation, NC seniors collect caps and gowns for graduation in the PAC. Teachers and peers congratulate them, sharing mixed feelings about leaving NC. “Thank you to everyone that helped me get to this point in life, you deserve the world. For everyone who envy’s me, find peace in life. You wont get far with a negative mindset,” senior Joshua Josephs said.

Ever since their week one loss to the then top-ranked 6A Buford Wolves, the Warriors appear stronger than ever. With eight consecutive wins and an average of 40.2 points per game, NC looks to increase this total against North Paulding next week. As more and more attention surrounds the NC football program, head coach Shane Queen hopes to maintain the focus of one common goal: a state title.

Warriors clinch second straight region title in 35-9 win over Marietta

The NC Warriors ventured into their third regular-season game with hopes for a quality win. Led by team captains (pictured left to right) Josh Jospehs, Joshua Bagley, Latrell Bullard, and Malachi Singleton, the Warriors dominated the Alpharetta Raiders by a score of 43-7. With 322 passing yards, Singleton and the offensive unit put up a frenzy of touchdowns that proved NC as a dominant force in this year’s 7A class. The Warriors return on Friday, September 17. To take on the Etowah Eagles in a Cobb-Cherokee matchup.

Singleton, tailed by Walton senior Austin Eldred and junior Cade Thompson, eventually scored multiple touchdowns proving himself once again as an asset to the NC Warrior team.

Despite the odds, the NC varsity Warriors charged onto the field valiantly excited to honor their school and their peers. The Warriors overcame the Wolves while improving their skills in the first home game of the season by winning against one of the highest-ranked teams in Georgia. “I am just really proud of our kids to come in here and play the way we did like that was very impressive. They are the winningest team in the last 20 years in the state of Georgia. They have lost 17 games in 17 years,” Queen said.
