Everyday, the Tin Lizzy’s employers make hundreds of mouth-watering dishes, leaving guests very pleased. In the photo, the famous blue cheese and buffalo chicken quesadillas, with a side of rice and beans, sit on the table waiting to be eaten. “This dish was my favorite! Once it caught my eye on the menu, I knew it was meant to be” senior Sarah Reagan commented.

Tin Lizzy’s recently opened its doors Monday, August 25 and immediately received customers from all over Kennesaw, hungry for Tex-Mex food. The new restaurant shows uniqueness with its stylish decoration and lights strung across the ceiling. Despite the style and excitement over the opening, the restaurant could use a few tweaks to make it the perfect hang out spot.

The service, for a newly opened restaurant, felt efficient. Though a few waiters mixed up, they prevailed and eventually got the right customers the right food. Reporter Sydney Dyke ordered buffalo chicken nachos. However, it came without the needed ranch or blue cheese dipping sauces. As the manager personally apologized to Sydney, she could change her order and receive ten dollars off her bill. Their friendliness and eagerness compensated for the mixed up orders.

On Monday, August 25, Tin Lizzy’s Mexican Cantina opened for business. Many couples and families wined and dined on the new, freshly-made Mexican cuisine and refreshing beverages. “The atmosphere is pretty crazy and loud, but the food is great”, senior Amelia Seay said.

“We enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful time! The food was great,” KSU students Chichi Anyawu and Jessica Baker commented.

Restaurants need a pleasant atmosphere to attract pleasant guests. Tin Lizzy’s feels perfect for crowds of all sorts. The lower level of the restaurant demonstrates a more family friendly, happy environment full of chitter chatter, while the upper level represents an environment more suitable for couples, partiers, and friends on a night out.

In addition, a bar equipped with several excited and happy bartenders created the icing on the cake for this restaurant. However, the upper level also came with extremely loud music. The music was so loud, customers could not talk and repeatedly asked for the music to lower. However, that problem lasted briefly as a live performer sang and played guitar while everyone ate, creating the perfect environment.

The food tantalizes tastebuds, especially the skillets and quesadillas. Since Tin Lizzy’s is  a tex-mex restaurant, their food menu caters to everyone’s wants.

“The food was fabulous! The waiter did a great job even though it was his first day. Tin Lizzy’s is a great addition to the neighborhood!” Sheryl, a customer at Tin Lizzy’s, praised.

Whether it is a night out or a family night out, Tin Lizzy’s holds promise for future customers. Though they are not perfect, they hold the perfect attitude to make their business the best.

Tin Lizzy’s advertises their newly opened restaurant with an eye-catching, decorative chalkboard, advertising $4.00 drinks (for the 21+ crowd, obviously). The building is open seven days a week, from 11 am to midnight from Sunday to Thursday and 11 am to 2 am on Friday and Saturday. “I’ve heard really good things about the other locations. Great food and great atmosphere,” senior Jack Dimmett explained.
