Trackside Taqueria offers local flavor on a budget
Trackside Taqueria, a Tex-Mex restaurant located on Main Street in downtown Acworth, opened its doors in September to reveal an outstanding menu and wonderful service.
While pulling into the restaurant, the decor immediately stood out. Although the building seemed oddly shaped, it jazzed up with different signs and bright colors. They also put in a window large enough for passersby to look inside the restaurant.
When customers walk in, the owner immediately greets them and asks for their order. He also recommends several of his personal favorite dishes. The service exceeded my expectations. Every employee came off as polite and kind.
Ordering turned out difficult, but only because the vast menu featuring various kinds of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and side dishes had me craving every dish. Also, the first sitting room contains a salsa bar with six types of salsa along with different garnishes, so customers can choose whatever dips or sides they want for their tortilla chips. They also offered warm salsa, which can rarely be found in tex-mex restaurants.
The cook prepared the food with only fresh ingredients, which definitely paid off. I ordered a quesadilla with a side of guacamole, and just the sight of it made my mouth water. The dish tasted delectable and I felt ultimately satisfied.
Considering the quality, the price for the food stood inexpensive. My meal, which included the quesadilla, guacamole, tortilla chips, and a drink, cost me only ten dollars. Although costlier than one’s average meal, the top-notch food and refreshing atmosphere makes it worth the money.
The pricing and food easily compares to Buckhead Burrito, another tex-mex restaurant that used to reside next to Johnny’s Pizza on Cherokee street, before it closed down in June. For Buckhead Burrito fans, Trackside Taqueria would be an enjoyable experience, and a more-than adequate substitute.
Trackside Taqueria not only offers various menu items and tasty, inexpensive food, but they also provide fun decor and wonderful service. Stepping into the new restaurant serves as a pleasant and refreshing experience that most people look for.
