After nine months of dating, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson officially call it quits. For months, people saw Kardashian and Davidson as a power couple after their exclusive public dates. The pair decided to break up around the first week of August, but plan to remain friends. Their busy schedules made their long-distance relationship difficult to maintain, but their love and respect for one another remains strong.

The two met after Kardashian hosted Saturday Night Live(SNL) in October 2021. They shared their first kiss on camera for a sketch in which they played Princess Jasmine and Aladdin. Surprised by the small but telling zing she felt during the scripted kiss, Kardashian resolved to make the first move at her SNL afterparty. Davidson soon won her over with his sense of humor. Even Kardashian’s sisters, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, noticed a change in her mood. During their PDA-packed fling, Kardashian and Davidson traveled to the Bahamas and attended the Met Gala together. Davidson also tattooed himself in Kardashian’s honor. The tattoo on his neck appears to read “KNSCP,” which most likely represents the first initials of Kardashian and her children; North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. 

“Pete has got to be literally the best human being I’ve ever met. People always say he’s so funny. That’s like fourth on my list of why I like him,” Kardashian said.

Despite the breakup between Davidson and Kardashian, Kardashian’s divorce still proceeds with producer and rapper, Kanye West. Kardashian declared herself legally single in March 2022. An insider also told Page Six on August 8, 2022, that Kardashian seems frustrated that West went back to his old ways where he bullies Davidson on social media. Kardashian and West continue in a positive co-parenting space and with communication. This just reminded her that he would never change and reconciliation will not occur.

While some mourn the end of their relationship, Kardashian moves on more quickly than expected. Kardashian seems ready to date after her breakup with Davidson. This time around, it does not sound like she wants a 13-year age gap between her and her boyfriend. 

“I used to see Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson on my Instagram feed all the time. They complimented each other very well, especially at the Met Gala. as sad as it is, it’s, unfortunately, the end of an era but hopefully, this means Kanye has a chance,” Junior Nijah Jones said.
