Ghostbusters: NC edition
March 31, 2016
Few have seen the ghost of NC, but most know of the story surrounding the mysterious figure. Thought to have appeared at the beginning of the 2006 school year, the ghost spooks and scare students in NC’s hallways daily. Seeing as there is little to no information regarding its history, I decided to hunt the ghost down to see if I could get some of my breaking questions answered.
**WARNING**. What you are about to read is not for the faint hearted. If you would prefer to stay ignorant, but blissfully unaware of the hauntings taking place inside of NC, read no further.
Anabel Prince: Hello? Hello? Is anyone there?
Ghost: Booooooooooo. Booooooooooooo.
AP: Who are you? Why are you here?
Ghost: Boooooooooo. Booooooooooooooo. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
AP: Please answer me; I just want to know the truth. I promise I won’t reveal any information without your discretion.
Ghost: Alright, fine. I’ll answer a few questions. But don’t try any Ghostbusters nonsense on me.
AP: I promise, I won’t. Firstly, how did you stumble upon NC?
Ghost: Well, before I came here, I actually had quite the past.
AP: Oh really? Where were you?
Ghost: Before I became a school ghost, I starred in many movies. For a while the phone just didn’t stop ringing.
AP: What movies did you star in?
Ghost: Too many to count. My more notable roles include Poltergeist, Poltergeist 2, Casper: The Friendly Ghost, and Love Actually.
AP: Oh wow, I’ve seen all of those movies and I don’t recognize you.
Ghost: Of course you didn’t recognize me. I’m a ghost. I’m invisible.
AP: So how did you end up here?
Ghost: After my last role, I felt a little lost. I was literally floating around aimlessly. I would sneak on international flights and just go wherever.
AP: How did you sneak onto international flights?
Ghost: Anabel, how many times do we have to go over this? I’m a ghost. Nobody can see me.
AP: Yes, yes. I’m sorry. Continue.
Ghost: Anyways, I ended up in Atlanta and decided to stay for some reason. It’s been 10 years and I’m happy to have found a purpose terrorizing students here.
AP: Alright, one last question. Do you ever get lonely?
Ghost: Well, of course, wouldn’t anyone? It’s not like there are any other ghosts around here. Or any humans who would understand my condition.
AP: Downtown Acworth is haunted, you know. Maybe you could find some company there.
Ghost: I’ll have to try that.
And just like that, the Ghost of NC vanished. It stills lives on, terrorizing us all.
April fool’s, you fool!
XOXO, The Chant
