On Friday, March 24, the NC cafeteria will add a new item to their menu. They will offer brewed iced coffee on Friday for $3.50. If students choose to buy coffee early in the morning, it can help them wake up before class starts so they can become active and more awake for the day. “I think this new edition to the NC menu will help students stay more focused in class, and its a delicious drink that every teenager loves,“ freshman Jasmyne Earle.

As the short lunch period comes to an end, students throw out their uneaten food that time did not allow for. The fast-paced lunch proves as just one of the numerous problems that lead to the monstrosity of food waste. Students need an adequate amount of time to consume food to fuel them through the rest of the day, along with decreasing food waste.
