Annual Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl captures young competitive readers’ spirits

Little readers from around the county came to North Cobb High School Saturday, January 16, to kick off the annual Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl.

While his brother, NIck Crowell, prepares to compete in the next bowl round, Sam Crowell, sixth grade student of Hightower Trail Middle School, reads one of his favorite books, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.”I like this book because of the magic–it’s really cool. I’m reading whenever I get a chance,” Sam said.
