Varsity boys basketball improved its record to 3-3 on Saturday evening to the tune of a 57-45 victory over the Paulding County Patriots.

NC dominated from start to finish, outscoring the Patriots in the first quarter, 17-9, and taking an 18 point lead into the fourth to ice the game.

Senior small forward Kenny Ume lead the Warriors with 22 points and 14 rebounds, while senior forward Myles Lake tallied 14 and eight.

Senior point guard Ricky Shearman led the team in assists, serving up eight of NC’s 13 dishes, along with six points.

“We played well,” Shearman said. “Our ball movement was good and we were knocking down good shots. Full team effort on both sides of the ball helped us get the dub.”

This week, NC looks to start 3-0 in region play as they take on North Paulding on Tuesday and Hillgrove on Friday.
