Life imitates art

Susan Dowling’s first period Visual Arts Composition class presented their three-dimensional wire sculptures in the courtyard this morning. Students created the sculptures with chicken wire, cardboard, wood, and spray paint to capture the stature of a real human being. The assignment proved to mesmerize passing students into interacting with the art. “I feel as though the project was successful in the way that the other students were able to interact with the sculptures outside,” student teacher Madison Carpenter said.
