Senior superlative voting-season excites students as they approach graduation.

Senior superlatives: the four-year competition between the funniest, friendliest,  and most athletic students at NC. The final voting ballot opened on Monday, October 15, and seniors scramble to campaign on social media. The ballot consists of 11 total topics, with eight of the them giving a choice for both female and male candidates. Winners will find themselves in a featured image as they open their yearbook to the senior section at the end of the year.

Students could nominate themselves or others on a document opened in the senior section of NC’s website on Tuesday, October 2. After yearbook advisor Jan Husband and the yearbook team tallied up all the nominations, the winning nominees and their superlatives for each section are as listed below:

Mr./Ms. North Cobb

Mr./Ms. North Cobb, the ultimate title, usually show the student’s responsibility in school affairs and school communications. When a student thinks of NC, these nominees immediately come to mind. The amount of work these students put into the school and its community usually trumps all. The recipients of this superlative deserve the award for the work they put into making NC an amazing school.

These sporty students mastered balancing school and their extreme athletic attitudes, making them the epitome of a student athlete. While the nominees involved themselves in multiple sports including lacrosse, football, basketball, ROTC, track, and cross country, these students show immense talents when they touch the field, court, or track.

While student athletes put great effort into sports, others invested their energy into studies. Responsible for some of the highest grade point averages in the school, these genius students receive the honor of “Most Intellectual.” These students show an overload of passion for trying to advance themselves academically.

Most Likely to Brighten Your Day- Female/Male

These smiling students walk into a room and add their own sunshine with their optimistic attitudes. Not allowing any negativity from their own day to affect them, these students spread happiness to every student when they walk by. Without these students, NC’s atmosphere would lack in laughter and smiles.

The fashionistas of NC finally receive their recognition with this superlative. Known for their incredible style, these students dress to impress almost every school day. A true fashionista never lets their style dip in creativity. They constantly keep up with the trends while also adding some of their own personalities into their outfits.

Cutest Couple That Never Was

When this dynamic duo walks into the school building, people instantly imagine the two together. The two friends, joined at the hip, never planned to date, but all of NC awaits their marriage. Rarely seen apart, the couple never attends social gatherings without the other. The two, never romantically involved as a couple, shiver at the thought of all comments about their imaginary relationship, but also never plan to leave each other’s side.

School spirit drips from these students as they encourage all students to participate in school activities. Either leading the event or attending it, these students carry NC’s name with pride at all times. While creating posters for announcements or pouring glitter and paint on themselves for a football game, these students rally others together with only their voice, encouraging all NC students to attend all school events and fundraisers.
