The Chant

Isabella Keaton
Senior Isabella Keaton is features editor of The Chant as well as vice president of NC’s Theatre Thespian troupe 4225. Throughout her childhood, Keaton dreamt of one day taking the stage and becoming a theatre actress as well is conquering the world through her power of words. Her dream has led her down many paths at school, and she has tackled numerous plays and productions in NC’s Drama department. Isabella joined drama her freshman year and performed in her first production, “The Diviners,” her sophomore year. Her favorite production that she has been a part of was titled, Hands On a Hardbody which followed the story of a group trying to win a truck contest by keeping one hand on the vehicle throughout the entire show. Keaton is now a member on the drama board and has the honor of helping make major decisions that affect the program. She continues to build her resume in hopes of receiving an admission into the University of Georgia or Georgia State to study both journalism and theatre performance.

Over the summer, Keaton attended Governor's Honors Program with a theatre major and journalism as her minor. She gained experience by working with theatre professionals and the top one percent of students in the state of Georgia. She intend to help this experience guide her through college and the rest of her high school career.

In her spare time, she loves hanging out with her friends, reading, and occasionally wake surfing on Lake Acworth. Her favorite novel is Tuesdays with Morrie because of the profound, but simple, life lessons that it teaches. This year in Newspaper, she wants to focus on reporting and building her resume while also expanding her knowledge in photography.
