Opposing viewpoints: Download the Kim Kardashian Hollywood app for insta-fun
October 15, 2014
Let’s face it. When bored, we all turn to nonsense video games or apps to pass the time, and we find ourselves intrigued with random and ridiculous entertainment. Especially when two totally opposite genres collide: Kardashians and technology. This summer, the well known for practically nothing Kim Kardashian, from hit reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, has created a whole new universe in her new video game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. The game is easily available for iPhones and Androids in the app store, and anyone who wants to can play, since it is free of cost. Not only is it free, it is also highly addictive.
Basically, the game centers around the three most popular human desires: fame, money, and becoming BFFLs with Kim Kardashian. That itself was enough to persuade me to play the game. Not only does the player get to experience glorious fame, but players also get to actually participate in photoshoots, interviews, parties, and star in movies.
The first detail that caught my eye was seeing a cartoon version of Kim Kardashian on the cover of the app. That definitely got me interested enough to add the game to my iPhone home screen. Once I started the demo, I was actually amazed at the quality of it and became immediately addicted. One of the best parts about the game, in my opinion, proves to be all the clothes and accessories your avatar can add to her wardrobe.
Another aspect that amazed me was how advanced the game has become since it premiered. Kim Kardashian and her team recently shared that they love to make the game more enjoyable and give players more opportunities by changing certain features in the game.
I’ve been playing the game since its release, and despite its mature themes, it gives me a break from daily life. Not many people get to experience fame in the real world, but the game allows anyone to do just that. Despite its many flaws, I still love the game and will continue to play it.
