For NC wrestlers, practice remains the foundation of success that leads teams to higher levels of competition. The coaches of the NC wrestling team watch closely to tend to the students’ skills, helping the athletes improve. The athletes learn to step on the mat and treat anyone across from them as a potential opponent to prepare for the intense tournaments. NC's International Studies magnet program hosted an open house for eighth graders from different middle schools throughout the county October 22. With the help of faculty and staff, future magnet students learned about the amazing opportunities the program offers. Magnet coordinator and assistant principal James Auld presented the program's basic offerings to parents and students.

NC’s Standing Ovation attended the annual One Act competition Saturday, October 26 and won fifth place, while witnessing five other schools perform their own productions. Students spent a significant amount of time with actors and crew members from other schools, building friendships and creating memories. NC performers learned how to improve for next year's competition and gained valuable experience.

Fall remains a highly favored season for those who love pumpkins, cool temperatures and spooky activities. Haunted houses in particular provide an opportunity for guests to strengthen bonds with one another and create lasting memories. With haunted houses perfectly fitting in the spooky activities category, several people around the U.S. rave and plan for the openings of their nearest haunted houses.

When a teacher tells a student to believe in their potential, that simple encouragement can change their entire outlook and motivate them to push through challenges. Several students at NC may have experienced a teacher’s words inspiring them and their academic studies. The Chant wanted to know, so our Media Team members set out a jar and a poster with a prompt stating, “What is something a teacher said that moved you?”. If the person had an answer they would put their answer in the jar allowing our staff members to read it later. A teacher's faith in a student and the motivation they instill in young people can push kids to pursue their dreams with confidence.

The NBA begins its return within the month and the eastern conference looks completely changed with several free agency moves and trades, the top three teams of the conference; the Milwaukee Bucks, defending champions Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers, look loaded and charged for another year of intense competition between one another.

With their first event under their belts, the Warriors look forward to building upon their established successes throughout the season.

This occurs from a twisted conspiracy theory of her and other celebrities using their power in the industry to stay on top. People believe the real reason for the trend becoming normality derives from the multitude of speeches by celebrities recognizing Beyoncé as the true winner of their various awards.

Running against current Vice President and Democratic party candidate Kamala Harris, Trump defeated his political rival with a total of 312 electoral votes. Pushing his policies and goals for the future of the U.S., Americans will officially recognize Trump as president Monday, January 20, 2025, at the presidential inauguration.
