NC theater students attended the 2023 Georgia Thespian Conference this past weekend to enrich their learning. Workshops and practice auditions took place, allowing students to learn new dancing, singing and acting techniques. NC students attend this conference each year and return with new knowledge and fresh experiences.

To improve student-teacher relationships, teachers and students must put in the effort. Teachers can truly learn about a student and their stories, and discussing casual conversations can bring a sense of comfort between the two. This does not completely focus on school, but includes fun every now and then, focusing on the child over the content. Students should also realize that a majority of teachers try their hardest to connect, and should continuously respect those who respect them.

Apps can assist mental health tremendously through breathing practices and other exercises, but help does not always occur online. To create an at-peace mindset and help better themselves, people can partake in hobbies and other activities. “One way you can help your mental health is to keep a journal. It might seem a bit embarrassing at first, but it really helps to write down what you feel. Its important to be able to vent your emotions, and not bottle them up inside,” freshman Nicolas Fusaro said.
