Crowds of people paraded around the different artists as they created large, colorful artwork out of only chalk, paint brushes, and their hands. From landscapes to vivid faces, each art piece showed incredible skill and artistry.

Mrs. Dowling’s fourth period art class worked on a project where they drew out pictures in the courtyard to create interactive chalk art. “It was a beautiful day and they never get the opportunity to draw, which they really love” Dowling said.

The anatomy class hit the courtyard in first period, taking their introduction into the material to a new and more interactive level. Students drew the anatomical depictions of the human body to practice the vocabulary they learned in their most recent lesson. “I decided to come up with [this activity] to get them out of the classroom and doing something different than just applying it on paper and practicing on their own,” anatomy teacher April Adams said.
