How to Plan the Perfect Friendsgiving
November 19, 2018
Step One: Start by inviting your friends
Friendsgiving cannot happen without a couple of friends. Venture out and meet new people at school or work. This holiday season displays itself as the perfect time for family and friends to come together and show their appreciation. Coming together for a nice Thanksgiving meal provides the perfect opportunity to broaden friendships.
Step Two: Send Out Invitations
Time to brag about those calligraphy skills. Grab your favorite pen and cardstock paper. Include the location of the event and what time it starts so your friends can arrive safely. Attach a couple chic stickers for an additional pizazz. To put the friends in friendsgiving, send out your invitations at least a week in advance to ensure your guests can attend.
Step Three: Plan to make your favorite dish
Prepare your favorite meal, and leave others jealous. Friendsgiving proves as the perfect time to whip up an old family recipe or even a popular meal. Add pumpkin and other fall flavors to round off the holiday season and check out Pinterest to find new delicious foods to add to your family table.
Step Four: Buy trendy decor
Check out your local Marshalls or Target for trendy dinner decor. A better presentation makes for a better tasting dish. Start by placing a tablecloth and coordinate fall colored chargers (larger plates)on the dinner table to top it off. Put those table setting skills to work. To top it all off, purchase a cornucopia (a common Thanksgiving centerpiece) or add colorful candles.
Step Five: Create Crafts
Nobody said teens cannot participate in crafts. Turn this dinner into a competition and see who can make the best hand turkey. These crafts can also make a great addition to the decorations.
Step Six: Enjoy yourself
This break proves as the best time to let loose and enjoy yourself with great friends. Happy Friendsgiving.
