To spark the Halloween spirit, The Chant will host a DIY Halloween costume contest and the winner will receive a $10 amazon gift card and a feature piece on their costume in the newspaper! Students should submit their costumes to  The Chant Instagram, @ncthechant. Students can either post their costume on their Instagram story while tagging The Chant or send the chant a direct message with the submission. The DIY costume contest will begin October 12th and students will find out the winner October 30th.

NC students must make their own costumes. They can use household items, cardboard, paint or even a sewing machine to make their costume. No store-bought costumes are accepted. The costume must also fit within the school dress code apart from hats and masks. School appropriate themes are required. May the best costume win!
