Working at Unique Nail Spa entails spending time with family and meeting new people. To-Vinh absolutely loves her job and the amazing environment they created. “I liked doing this set because I got to freestyle where I do my own thing. I used a pink acrylic base along with black, light purple, and chrome gel polishes. I incorporated my and the customers’ favorite colors into this set,” nail artist To Vinh said.

Unique Nail Spa, located northwest of NC on Cobb Parkway, opens its welcoming doors to Kennesaw’s community 6 days a week. Closed on Tuesdays, the local business’ varied business hours accommodate a large clientele. The family-owned business graciously accepts numerous appointments and walk-ins. The close-knit family does their best to leave customers satisfied, offering a variety of services like manicures, pedicures, acrylics, and more.
Unique Nail Spa’s humble owner Thanh Diep created the spa to spend more time with his family with hopes of becoming financially stable. Unique Nail Spa opened in 2015, and the family hopes to expand for more clientele and clearance. In order to abide by COVID-19 pandemic protocols, the spa enforces frequent customer and employee handwashing, the use of plastic screens, separately arranged seating, and areas sanitized after every customer.
“Opening my own nail salon has given me an opportunity to be around my family and connect with customers. I love my job, I have been doing nails for 21 years and enjoy all the creativity that comes with it. I welcome anyone into the store ready to have them relaxed and happy,” said Dieps’ wife and nail artist, To-Vinh Nguyen.
Unique Nail Spa ensures a great environment for both the customers and the workers. Diep works flexibly around the employees’ schedules, especially his college student workers. This allows students to balance coursework with their job at Unique Nail Spa.
“As a college student, it’s hard to find a job that is flexible and accommodates well with my busy schedule. This is why I love my job at the store because the owners are so understanding of my difficult schedule. The environment is friendly and my coworkers make me feel comfortable and at home,” said pedicurist Juah Ok.
Unique Nail Spa possesses over 1000 different colors in acrylic, gels, and polishes with abundant varieties of Swarovski, stickers, 3D charms and glitters. With the homecoming season coming up, Unique Nail Spas’ wide variety of equipment can provide NC students with countless designs and styles. The spa eagerly awaits to greet new customers with a friendly smile.
