About the Contributors
Addie Hill, Lead Page and Media Team Liaison
Advancing into her second year on The Chant, Addie Hill’s love for writing has only grown. Now serving as the Page Lead and Media Team Liaison, Hill hopes to expand her abilities as a writer, communicator and editor, all while still striving to reach her main goal for this year: worshiping Jesus. As co-leader of NC’s Collective Hope Bible Study Club and attendee of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Hill aims to spread God’s love through writing. Outside of reporting, Hill loves to dance, listen to indie-folk music, read, crochet, spend time with her family and friends, and attend church.
She cannot wait to finish her final chapter at NC by reporting for the school’s publication, and she strives to write for a newspaper in college and beyond!

Sophia Lamb, Copy Editor
Sophia Lamb, a senior in the magnet program at NC, dives into her second year in The Chant with grace thanks to her compassion for the environment and the people around her. Driven by her deep passion for writing and her eagerness to broaden her horizons, Lamb looks to cover new topics around the NC area. Growing up with a teacher as a father, Lamb was introduced to advanced learning early on, with writing emerging as her favorite and most intuitive skill. Aspiring to be a wildlife veterinarian, she hopes that her experience with The Chant will help her craft informative pieces about environmental events. Lamb’s love for animals and her special connection with them fuel her ambition to pursue a career in caring for creatures. In her free time, she enjoys golfing, playing tennis, baking and exploring the city with her friends. Although this is her last year on The Chant, Lamb is excited to make a splash and let both her creative and scientific passions shine.

After a year of growth as a reporter, Mehta is eager to continue crafting stories that spark change and impact her local community. She aims to help The Chant grow by encouraging new perspectives, amplifying student voices and strengthening its presence in the Acworth and Kennesaw community. Mehta hopes to utilize her connections as co-president of the Rally Club and community service chair for Tribal Connections throughout her writing to provide more light to events and organizations at NC. This year, she looks forward to mentoring new staff members, taking on bold stories, and helping The Chant reach new levels. With a deep passion for journalism, Mehta is committed to making her last year on staff the best.
