Lidia Sidorova, a sophomore at NC, is a Reporter for The Chant. She believes in students speaking their truth. Her love for communication and research has not only driven her to the journalism program but also to the Speech and Debate team at NC, where she participates in meetings and tournaments. While maintaining her spot in the Magnet program at NC, she is active in her community and volunteers at a local elementary school. Journalism is another branch of her written media appreciation; she also writes music. Sidorova plays a variety of guitar genres, along with her own songs. If she is not working on her academics or musical passions, Lidia enjoys reading, spending time out in nature, and using her mixed media artwork as a creative outlet. As she reaches the mid-point of her high school career, she hopes to share her passions and inspire those around her.
