Callie Kinsinger, a senior at NC, joined The Chant because of her love for writing and hopes to excel through journalism as a way to gain knowledge for her future plans of working in public relations. Looking brightly to the future, Kinsinger cannot be more excited to find her place in a college that works best for her. She loves school because she likes to work and learn from other people, happy to be in any situation that surrounds her with friends and family. She enjoys reading,—especially romance—dancing, listening to music, and constantly exploring new activities. With a diligent mind, she spends a chunk of her time working at various jobs and helping out her community through honorary NC clubs. She always looks forward to traveling to new places and meeting new people. Kinsinger currently explores different high-level classes to keep her senior year intriguing and exciting, and cannot wait to live out her final year through writing for The Chant.

Pushing his policies and goals for the future of the U.S., Americans will officially recognize Trump as president Monday, January 20, 2025, at the presidential inauguration.

Senior National Honors Society (NHS) students hosted the first-ever Trunk or Treat event at NC Friday, October 25. With each NHS group dressed according to a different theme, students decorated their car trunks and engaged in exciting Halloween activities. While family and friends attended throughout the 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. time period in their best costumes, NHS students bonded and served their community.

After dominating the top music charts over the summer with songs “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” pop star Sabrina Carpenter released her end of the summer album “Short n’ Sweet.” This flirtatious and sassy album easily took over headphones worldwide, with fans surely playing on repeat. This album features various vibes through each song, all with catchy choruses that leave listeners either laughing or in their feelings.

NC’s Collective Hope Club (CHC) celebrates the love of God each week through student-led meetings and provides a place for members to discuss Scripture and pray weekly. A safe space in an educational environment becomes a necessity for the intense hours of school, and CHC aims to become that place for a plethora of students. The pink-out-themed game marks the season’s approaching close, allowing attending students to see their senior peers walk across the field.
