Courtney Moody is a sophomore in NC’s Magnet program. She hopes to go to college at Georgia Tech and work as an aerospace engineer, because of her love for space. She believes that the purpose of journalism is to provide “truthful and timely news.” Her biggest accomplishment is getting accepted into Magnet. She is also a co-founder of NC’s American Sign Language club.

Book return posters posted all around the school help students stay informed on when to bring in their books. Although some due dates have already passed, you can always bring them in on another book return day. Make sure to bring your books back so you do not receive any dues!

NC’s own Green House Gang plans to host a plant sale May 11-13. The times include 3:30-5:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, and also Saturday from 9:00-1:00 pm. Orchids, flowers, veggies, and hanging baskets will be available for purchase. Come out and support your warriors!

AP Exams and EOC testing began today leaving classrooms very bare. The end of the semester approaches fast with finals just around the corner. Make sure to keep up with classes, and prepare for upcoming tests!

The gazebo in the senior courtyard of 1986 continues to undergo construction. The new coat of paint brings the area to life. Students enjoy the burst of color outside of the classrooms.

The Parish council featured here sits in Leanna Mckenzie hometown. It does not include a river unlike common Parishes. People usually drive in taxis and walk to see students graduate and perform pageants.

April showers come in early this March leaving students with wet seats around the courtyard. Sophomore Hope Kutche looks for dry seats for her friends, describing the aftermath of the rain. “It’s really cool because the rain symbolises the washing away of the pollen, and spring is starting, but also now our seats are all wet, so we have to wipe them off.” Kutche said. Make sure to grab napkins to wipe off your seats!

Chorus class helps inspire orchestra students before their Large Group Performance Evaluation. The students left sweet, encouraging messages on orchestra’s door before their LGPE test on February 13 to further motivate their fellow classmates.
