Malique Card is a Junior at NC who enjoys playing basketball and going to the gym. In his free time he plays video games, listens to music and watches movies. His favorite movies are American Psycho, The Game, and Back to the future. Card has a passion to play collegiate basketball one. The reason he joined The Chant is to see if he can find a passion for Journalism, as well as a permanent hobby.

Byrd’s season ended on Sunday, October 23, and she plans to put in work during the off-season. Byrd will come back to NC for her senior year to graduate in 2024 to compete and make the best of her senior season.

Byrd controlled defense the whole night, leading the team to victory and securing the Lady Warriors’ spot in playoffs. On August 11, 2022, rain poured onto the streets and casinos of Las Vegas, destroying landmarks for the town experiencing its heaviest monsoon of the decade. The Clark County Fire Department firefighters rescued civilians that ended up stuck in debris and in their cars. Two people died and the monsoon thunderstorm and the incident forced reconstruction within the city.
