Fire alarms welcomed NC students back from the week-long winter break. For several students, the alarm caused panic, leaving them unaware of what to do. “When I heard the fire alarm I thought it was just a normal drill that the teachers did not tell us about. Everyone evacuated like normal. I got a little worried when the teachers looked confused and when people started posting pictures of fire trucks on Snapchat and Instagram,” sophomore Roselyn Morris said.

An unexpected fire drill during lunch sent students rushing out of the building. Although everything turned out fine, it made the Friday before prom interesting.
