From patching up football players to teaching about body systems, Angela Guggino, one of the key players in NC’s athletics department, leads the sports medicine CTAE pathway. Students seeking careers as doctors or nurses can start training thanks to her courses in healthcare. This podcast interviews Guggino and junior Alison Stancil to elaborate upon the sports medicine pathway.

April 7, 8 and 9, 2026, NC’s unbelievably talented theatre program performed their final musical of the year. “Drowsy Chaperone,” a comedic musical with slightly melancholic undertones, fit the cast and crew perfectly. While the performance went swimmingly, seniors grappled after the fact with the realization that this would stand as their final performance with the NC thespians. After just five weeks to rehearse, the performers put on a show that left the audience wheezing.

With summer break approaching at lightning speed, NC students scramble to finish their last assignments and study for end-of-course tests. Several thoughts linger on the minds of thousands of high schoolers all throughout the country, all revolving around their favorite sunny day activities. As the 2026 school year nears its end, bucket lists flood with new ideas and Pinterest boards fill with pictures of sunsets, pool days and fun crafts as each student ponders their ideal summer days.

Starting his first year on The Chant, Wyatt Toth, a junior at NC, joins the crew as a member of the Media Team. Toth hones his craft and is passionate about all things art. His latest escapade has been learning about music production over the summer. Outside of school, Toth enjoys watching chick flicks, finding niche music artists and eating carb-filled foods. He hopes that with a fresh mind on The Chant, he will be able to more accurately represent the student population while also having an outlet to channel his creativity.
